Diamond Head House Information:
The 4,095 square foot, three bedroom, four bathroom House was built in 1911 and is located southwest of Diamond Head State Monument in Kahala, one of Oahu's upscale neighborhoods. A ten minute drive from Waikiki, Kahala is known for a variety of residential homes and provides an escape from the noise and crowds known to Waikiki.
There were 3 structures on the property. The single-story House and Pool House were renovated for the filming of the series. The Pool House had a Bedroom/Living Room, Bathroom and Wet Bar and was renovated into the Gym. The property also included a 4,950 square foot, five bedroom, four and a half bathroom, two-story guest house fronting Diamond Head Road that housed the Control Room and production offices. At the time of the filming of the series, the Diamond Head House was a $10,000/month rental.
The Diamond Head House was listed for sale at $7,500,000 in 2006. It appears to have sold on 11/15/2006 to Finish Line Properties, LLC for $6,800,000.
In 2008, the guest house and House were demolished to construct a new house. The residence is approximately 10,000 square feet with 4 bedrooms, a master suite, exercise room, home theater and detached garage. Le'ahi Beach Park is located east of the House and the path behind the sea wall is a Public Walkway.
