NEW YORK CITY - Attention, reality TV aficionados, 632 Hudson Street is available for rent at a drastically reduced price, only $38,000 per month for the Downtown triplex. Sound a little steep? MTV paid $55,000 per month for the former chorizo factory owned by Karen Lashinsky. "Prices were at an all-time high last year when MTV entered the market," says Robert Eychner, president of Eychner Associates. "When [the owner] heard that MTV wanted the apartment for seven kids, she said they would pay $55,000 per month. MTV decided to look elsewhere but eventually came back. They also paid for the owner to move and her storage as well as other expenses." Eychner notes that the price for unique rentals such as 632 Hudson has come down considerably. The furnished triplex is divisible and features an atrium, designer kitchen, solarium and 360 degree views from the roof.

I found the listing on the web page of Eychner Associates Inc. The price in the listing and the article contradict themselves. I believe that this particular listing could be for only the 2nd floor of the building, which was used for the Control Room and Production Offices. However, I am not positive. The picture looks like it could be of the Red Bedroom. However, the Red Bedroom was on the 3rd floor.
