The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was located at the corner of East Harmon Avenue and Paradise Road, east of the Las Vegas Strip. Opening in 1995, the entertainment resort includes an 11-story Casino Tower with 640 guest rooms, 17-story Paradise Tower with 490 rooms and suites and the boutique HRH Tower with 359 suites, eight spa villas and seven penthouse suites. The property also includes 72,000 square feet of casino space, Tahitian style beach and swimming pool, a number of nighclubs, restaurants, cocktail lounges and "The Joint", a concert venue.
"The Casino Tower penthouse is part showpiece, part refuge and all aphrodisiac. This signature accommodation of the Hard Rock Hotel consists of three luxurious bedrooms and three spectacular bathrooms including a mosaic hot tub with a view of the Las Vegas Strip. When not entertaining in the bedroom, a dining room with seating for 12 offers guests an area for intimate catered affairs. After dining, you and your guests can kick back in the penthouse's lounge complete with a fully stocked bar, pool table and flat panel TVs. Adding to all this is the singular showpiece of the Vegas penthouse experience: a single-lane automated bowling alley. Located on the 11th floor, the Penthouse welcomes any occupant who sees their stay as something beyond ordinary." (www.innkeepervegas.com)
A 4,400 square foot three bedroom, three bathroom Penthouse Suite in the Casino Tower was renovated for the filming of the series. Originally designed in 2005 by Kelly Wearstler, the Suite was created by combining eight guest rooms on the 11th Floor. The Suite was redesigned for filming by Los Angeles based designer Matt Tognacci. The renovations totaled $180,000 and included turning a butler pantry into an open, full service kitchen. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is located 3 miles from the Palms Casino Resort used in the filming of the twelfth season.
Virgin Hotels and a group of investors purchased the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in 2018 and announced plans to renovate and rebrand it as a Virgin hotel. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino closed on February 3, 2020 and reopened on March 25, 2021 as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
