Dupont Circle Brownstone Information:

The 10,800 square foot, four-story Brownstone office building was built in 1891 and is located at the southwest corner of S Street NW and 20th Street NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington D.C. The building was designed by architect George S. Cooper and built by real estate developer Theodore A. Harding.

The building was purchased in 1998 by Doug Jemal of Douglas Development. According to Washington D.C. property records, the building is valued at $5.69 million (2010 assessment). Prior to the renovations for the filming of the series, the building was leased to Sorg & Associates architectural firm. Reported previous tenants in the building include Blockbuster Video, an Ethiopian restaurant, a lesbian bar and a church.

The first two floors were renovated for the filming of the series with the production crew occupying the upper two floors. In March 2010, HealthHIV leased 5,400 sq. ft. of the Brownstone. The new tenant plans to preserve the main entrance on the 2nd floor as it appeared during the filming of the series. All of the interior renovations for the filming of the series on the 1st floor have been removed. In early 2010, Papadopoulos Properties began marketing the 2,700 sq. ft. 1st floor as available for lease for a restaurant tenant.
